Collierville Schools has named Dr. Penny Lane Fletcher as the district's new District Counseling and Threat Assessment Supervisor. Dr. Fletcher brings nearly 20 years of experience in school counseling, student mental health, crisis response, and comprehensive student support services. She most recently served as Prevention Counselor at Collierville High School. 

Dr. Fletcher has served as a Tennessee CORE School Counselor Coach, providing professional learning, coaching, and support to school counselors across Southwest Tennessee. Throughout her career, she has demonstrated leadership in trauma-informed practices, behavioral threat assessment, crisis intervention, counselor development, and student advocacy. She has also been selected to present at the School Counselor and Administrator Leadership Institute (SCALI), sharing best practices with counseling and educational leaders across the state. 

"Dr. Fletcher brings a wealth of experience and a strong commitment to supporting students," said Director of Schools Dr. Russell Dyer. "Her expertise in student wellness, school safety, and counseling leadership will be an asset to Collierville Schools.”

Dr. Fletcher holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Marriage and Family Therapy from Amridge University, completed postdoctoral studies in Professional School Counseling at the University of Tennessee at Martin, earned a Master of Education from William Carey College, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Louisiana at Monroe.

Outside of her professional work, Dr. Fletcher enjoys spending time with her husband and their four children, three daughters and one son.
