Collierville Schools Celebrates TSBA Honors: Award for Excellence & Board of Distinction

Collierville Schools proudly announces that Collierville High School has received the 2025 Award for Excellence in Education Program from the Tennessee School Boards Association (TSBA). The award was presented during TSBA’s Annual Convention and recognizes innovative and impactful educational programs across the state. In addition to this achievement, the Collierville Schools Board of Education has earned the TSBA Board of Distinction designation for the first time in district history.
This year’s recipient of the Award for Excellence in Education, the Collierville High School Aviation Program, is a groundbreaking dual enrollment initiative developed in partnership with the University of Memphis and Tennessee College of Applied Technology (TCAT). The program offers middle and high school students a transformative college-level experience that combines academic rigor with hands-on training in aviation flight and maintenance—preparing students for future careers in the aviation industry.
The Board of Distinction honor recognizes outstanding performance by a school board as a whole. To receive this designation, boards must meet rigorous requirements in four key areas: planning, policy, promotion, and board development. This honor reflects the board’s commitment to excellence and advancing educational opportunities for all students. The designation lasts for three years, after which time the board may reapply for continued status.
