District Athletic Director
Jeff Curtis was named the inaugural Director of Athletics for Collierville Schools at the beginning of the 2016-2017 school year after spending a decade coaching baseball and teaching Accounting, Business Law, and Computer Applications at Collierville High School. He also was the school's website coordinator and assisted the athletic administration during his tenure at CHS. Curtis helped lead the Dragons baseball team to a state championship in 2013.
A Jacksonville, Illinois native and University of Memphis alumnus, Curtis has been heavily involved with the Collierville community. He coordinated a real life simulation with all CHS business students, with the help of local businesses, to teach students how to plan for the future - focusing on budgeting. Curtis also coordinated summer camps for youth baseball players and directed tournaments. He serves as a member of the Memphis Sports Hall of Fame advisory committee and as the TSSAA/TMSAA West Tennessee committee member.
As a baseball coach at CHS, Curtis instructed the Dragons offense and worked with the infielders. He helped the Dragons break several offensive records. Under his guidance, the Dragons secured program records for stolen bases (147) runs scored (453), hits (467), doubles (109), triples (20), home runs (42), RBI's (374) and batting average (.373). He was part of two 37-win seasons and the school's record of 39 wins in 2010.

Curtis came to Collierville as an assistant baseball coach, under Jeff Hopkins, after playing collegiately at The University of Memphis. His college roommate was former National League All-Star Dan Uggla and the two were coached by Hopkins as Tigers. He has helped numerous players continue their careers at the next level; including current San Francisco Giants third basemen Zack Cozart.
At Collierville Schools, Mr. Curtis is responsible for school support organizations, athletics policies and procedures, athletic budgets and the overall athletics plan.
