Anita Hays is the Chief Financial Officer with Collierville Schools. With more than 29 years of accounting and finance experience, primarily in the public sector, she has served as CFO, Director of Finance and Senior Accountant/Auditor in school districts and State organizations. Anita puts a strong emphasis on creating sound bookkeeping systems, preparation of financial statements, organizational planning, and maintaining solid internal controls in the district.
Anita graduated from Mississippi State University in May 1986, and earned her CPA in May 1988. She is a member of TASBO and served as TASBO President in 2017. Anita is also a member of SASBO, the Tennessee Society of CPA’s, and is currently the Treasurer of MASS (Metropolitan Area School Systems) and has been a presenter on budget planning at these MASS meetings.
Anita enjoys traveling, reading, and being with her family. Anita’s son, Drew, is currently attending UT Chattanooga in his senior year.
