Pumpkin Soup: The Best You Ever Tasted
All six Collierville Schools Elementary PTA units teamed up to sponsor a Family Literacy Event along with Collierville Literacy Council. The event, Pumpkin Soup: The Best You Ever Tasted, took place on Sunday, Nov. 7, from 2-4 pm at Collierville United Methodist Church and centered around the fall-themed book, Pumpkin Soup, by Helen Cooper.
Each PTA sponsored a different station that helped reinforce for students that literacy touches all aspects of life and learning. Door prizes were also drawn in which one student from each school was selected to receive their very own copy of the book that inspired the event.
