Tennessee Pathways Certifies Two Collierville High School Programs

COLLIERVILLE, Tenn. (February 11, 2022) – Two Collierville High School Career and Technical Education programs, Nursing Services and Automotive Maintenance & Light Repair, have been certified by the Tennessee Pathways Program. The Tennessee Pathways team represents a unique partnership between the Tennessee Department of Education and the Tennessee Board of Regents that is anchored in their shared commitment to student success.

Launched in 2019, the Tennessee Pathways Certification sets clear expectations for alignment, advisement, and partnerships that define strong education-to-career pathways. Beyond establishing standards for program quality and design, the Certification elevates and celebrates innovative and exemplary pathways in the state.

“For two of our Career and Technical Education programs to earn the Tennessee Pathways Certification is a huge accomplishment, as well as an attribute to all of the hard work and dedication our staff puts in to provide the best education for our students,” said Dr. Gary Lilly, Director of Schools. “I am proud of our students and teachers for all they have done to solidify these programs, and I am excited for what the future holds for these pathways and other programs at Collierville High School.”

The minimum score to earn the certification is 60 points on a 100-point scale. Each application was evaluated by two independent reviewers, then audited for accuracy and consistency. Based on this award criteria, a total of 102 pathways were certified for the 2021 application cycle. Both of Collierville High School’s pathways were certified with scores of 85 (Nursing Services) and 88 (Automotive Maintenance & Light Repair). These are the first two pathways certified in Collierville Schools. In addition to the recognition, this certification will open the doors for additional grant opportunities to further advance these programs moving forward.
